Arturo Vidal

No player in Serie A that season did more of the dirty work than Arturo Vidal — and somehow also outscored most of his own attackers. During the 2012/13 campaign, Vidal racked up 151 tackles, nearly double the total of second-placed Andrea Pirlo, while simultaneously finishing as Juventus's top scorer with 15 goals across all competitions, 10 of them in Serie A alone. That scoring run included a decisive streak of five goals in four consecutive matches, one of which — a converted penalty against Palermo — mathematically sealed Juventus's back-to-back Scudetto title. This 2013 card freezes that exact version of Vidal: a box-to-box destroyer who defended like his life depended on it and attacked like a natural-born striker.

The attribute spread mirrors that dual threat almost perfectly. A 90 Stamina and 85 Tackling anchor his defensive workload, reflecting a player who covered every blade of grass and broke up attacks relentlessly, while a strong 78 Strength gave him the physicality to win duels against bigger midfielders. What makes this card interesting is the attacking side sitting right alongside it — an 80 Shooting and 83 Passing, numbers that wouldn't look out of place on an attacking midfielder, let alone a Chilean enforcer known for his tackling. At 180 cm and right-footed, playing centrally as a CM for Chile, his 77 Speed and Acceleration round him out as a complete, if not explosive, all-action midfielder rather than a pure destroyer.

An 84 overall rating puts this Vidal card firmly in the upper tier of DLS's midfield options, and unlike most cards that force a choice between defensive solidity and attacking output, this one genuinely offers both. He's the rare profile who can anchor a midfield defensively while still contributing directly to goals — exactly the role he played during Juventus's title-winning 2012/13 campaign. For anyone building a Chile squad or simply wanting a CM who does everything rather than one thing well, the 2013 Arturo Vidal remains one of the more balanced and underrated picks in the Champion collection.
